Broader, Bolder Approach to Flu Prevention

At the H1N1 Influenza (formerly known as "Swine Flu") Summit today, just about every speaker stressed the importance of linking schools with public health systems and community services. Without such connections, they argued, we stand a slim chance of containing another flu outbreak.

It really seems a little

It really seems a little outrageous that the authorities were at first closing schools but yet not closing the boarder to Mexico for a time that would allow containment. Eventually, they stopped closing schools as well. casino online

I guess they can question

I guess they can question what the economic and other impacts of each action would be. By the time the flu was manifesting itself in schools--in many cases because students had returned from vacations to Mexico--that genie was already out of the bottle.
