State Alliances: Pennsylvania
History
Formed in 2008 as the Pennsylvania Learning First Alliance.
Description
The Pennsylvania Learning First Alliance is composed of a variety of public education stakeholders. The Alliance serves three purposes:
- To give member organizations a stronger voice in state-level discussions than they would have as individual organizations
- To work with decision-makers to shape public policy impacting education
- To provide opportunities for member organizations to collaborate on public education issues and ultimately move Pennsylvania education to a new level of excellence.
Areas of interest to the Alliance include student achievement, equity, accountability in student performance, collaborative leadership, data-driven decision-making, and community and family engagement in education.
